Product description
The fibre-optic audio converter KSA 2A is an advanced industrial-class transmission device, designed for the reliable, two-way transmission of audio signals over an optical link across distances of up to 20 km. Thanks to the use of advanced multiplexing technology, the device provides full two-way communication using just a single optical fibre terminated with a precise FC/UPC optical connector, which significantly reduces the cost of leasing or building cable infrastructure. Audio transmission is carried out in a completely uncompressed form and in real time, which eliminates delays and guarantees crystal-clear clarity of the audio signal, without distortion or quantisation noise. The two-way architecture of the KSA 2A module has been optimised for railway telecommunication systems: it enables the simultaneous broadcasting of voice messages from local CSDIP operator consoles and the stable transmission of the audio signal from the loudspeakers of the station Public Address (SR / PA) system directly to correspondence-logging systems and call recorders. The device provides full resistance to electromagnetic interference (EMI) caused by the railway traction network and traffic control automation devices, guaranteeing continuous, fault-free 24/7 operation on railway lines and stations.
