The SOS intercom system of the HUSAR SOS series is an advanced, comprehensive industrial-class emergency and call-for-help communication solution, designed to increase safety and comfort for travellers at railway stations, passenger stops, interchange hubs and passenger terminals. The device provides reliable, two-way voice communication in the open VoIP standard (SIP protocol) between the passenger and the support staff or the dispatcher of the superordinate security system. The system’s design ensures seamless, native integration with the station’s public-address systems (PA / HUSAR PA), the Central Dynamic Passenger Information System (CSDIP/SDIP) and integrated PSIM security management platforms. A call is activated instantly by pressing a distinct, backlit SOS button, and selected variants are equipped with an integrated induction loop amplifier that facilitates communication for people using hearing aids (in accordance with TSI PRM guidelines). Everything is enclosed in an armoured, anti-vandal housing made of high-grade stainless steel, highly resistant to acts of vandalism and unfavourable weather conditions. Operational reliability in critical infrastructure facilities is guaranteed by the function of continuous, automated 24/7 monitoring of the technical state of the devices over the IP network, which allows the immediate signalling of any faults in the audio path or the network connection.
