Gdańsk Wrzeszcz — a railway station on the border of the Wrzeszcz Dolny and Wrzeszcz Górny districts in Gdańsk, in the Pomorskie Voivodeship. The station, which after two years underwent reconstruction with EU co-financing from the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment.
The station became a modern passenger service facility. Its appearance also changed. The scattered annexes were replaced by a monolithic, modern massing of a somewhat neutral character with a façade made of steel and glass. Thanks to the reconstruction, Gdańsk Wrzeszcz also became friendly to people with disabilities; a number of improvements were implemented, including guidance paths with attention fields, Braille markings, tactile boards with a plan of the station and its surroundings, and devices amplifying the signal in hearing aids at the ticket offices. Travellers with disabilities will also benefit from toilets specially adapted to their needs. To improve the safety of passengers and the building, it was equipped with modern systems — monitoring, access control, intruder and hold-up alarm and fire protection. In turn, a BMS building management system will watch over the correct operation of all devices and installations.
To the station we delivered our devices, including a Main Station Display, an Information Display, a Station Summary Display and an SP-SOS-WC call-for-help system for the toilets, to summon help in an emergency.
