Another station has been reopened and equipped with Sat-System solutions.
PKP Olsztynek — a station located in the Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodeship — was adapted to serve travellers. The building is fully adapted to the needs of people with disabilities. The immediate surroundings of the station also changed. A spacious reinforced-concrete canopy was built, and on the outer walls of the canopy reliefs were placed containing graphics depicting the historic layout of the old town and the Gothic castles of northern Poland. The facility’s façade also underwent renovation. The window and door joinery, the roof covering and all internal installations were also replaced.
The station has all passenger conveniences, including a dynamic passenger information system, an audible passenger information system, a monitoring system, etc. Sat-System delivered the most important elements of the passenger information system, including Station Summary Displays, Information Displays, a Public-Address System, a Clock System and an SOS call-for-help system.
The investment was carried out as part of the Station Investment Programme for 2016–2023 with EU co-financing from the Operational Programme Eastern Poland.
