The station underwent an enormous transformation, although it retained the massing of the modernist station dating from 1965–71. In the central part, the façade was completely glazed, creating an almost uniform pane with delicate vertical and horizontal divisions. The wings of the building were finished with glass and sandstone. The massing also gained new night illumination; illuminated signs with the station’s name appeared at the top of the facility, facing the platforms and the city. The interior was arranged in a modern style.
In cooperation with Everest 5 Sp. z o.o., we equipped and commissioned the CSDIP system at the station, on Station Summary Displays and Information Displays.
The reconstruction of the station in Kielce is one of the more interesting and larger projects carried out under the Station Investment Programme for 2016–2023 with European co-financing from the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment. The investment lasted nearly two years.
